Remembering
( REMEMBERING )
My grandma is 83 and amazing, and I love her with all my heart.
Alzheimer`s has a hold on her, and its the hardest part.
Another name is Dementia, it eventually leads to death.
My grandma often forgets things, like names through events.
Its sad to see her like this, they still havent found a cure.
Slowly its taking control of her, so hard to endure.
Shes starting to withdraw from family, always being uptight.
She cant even remember her own name, b4 she goes to sleep at night.
Relying on others for many things, is getting normal for us all.
Then she calls you the wrong name, and it make you feel 2 inches tall.
I know its not her fault, the disease makes you worse.
My dad says she still love us all, but I say its a curse.
We all got to remember that, shes not doing it on purpose.
Show grandma that we love her, and bring her smile to the surface.
My grandma`s remembering might be bad, but she`s lived a full life.
I hope mine is as wonderful as hers, all good times without strife.
