Remembering

REMEMBERING

September 11th is an historical day
Memories that will not fade away

Lives were lost in this disaster
Done by men to whom God is not master

They destroyed icons on American soil
And caused American's tempers to boil

But unity came from this melee
For all the world to watch and see

With God in charge, America stands tall
United we stand, never to fall

Let's not forget the events of that day
And remember it daily as we pray

That God in His sovereignty will heal our land
That by His grace, we'll forever stand

And the USA will always be
The home of the brave and the land of the free

Thank you so much. It was written such a long time ago that I never expected it to pop up again.

Curtis, this is a beautiful rhyme. I think even God's angels wept on 9/11 and yet the events of that day had a unifying effect on our country. Excellent poem and message. I responded to your Soup mail. Love, Carolyn
