Remembering
Who would have thought it's been years
Since I've been lying not to shed a tear
Whenever someone reminds me of you
Thinking I have forgotten of us two.
When was the time we last talked
Of all our dreams while at night we walk?
We sealed a deal with a pinky swear
That in the altar our vows we'll wear.
What happened to the lifetime we'll spend?
You broke the line we keep to defend.
We've been holding strong for so long
With the faith that to each other we belong.
Where are you now to say it's ok
And my monsters will go away one day?
Your battle was harder than mine
How dare you act like you were fine?
Why do you have to immediately go
To a place I can't blindly follow
You could've stayed one more day
So I could tell you I'll love you till I'm grey.
How can I tell myself to believe
That somewhere in this life you live
When I saw the word 'Remembering'
I was slapped by our memories lingering.
I saw a once active FB account became a memorial account.
