Remember Why

Oh, I went Christmas shopping today
Even though I said I would not
Twenty twenty's such a mess
Saw not a single smile
It's that time of year
But no one cares -
Jesus does
'Tis his
Birth -
Joy
Should be
The reason
We celebrate
With one another -
Join in song and laughter
And be grateful for the birth
As we give now to those we love
And look forward to eternity
