Remember Me
Remember me when the leaves turn gold
When time passes by and the sun turns cold
When our hearts sync up and the beat turns bold
The melody of our song never seems to get old
Remember me when the stars fall from up high
When the heavens darken with tears from the sky
A longing for us brings these tears to my eyes
But I don’t get caught up in the beautiful lies
Remember me whenever time slows down
When spring flowers hit the November ground
So sweetly and gently, they don’t make a sound
Unlike your lips, they’re the best that I’ve found
Remember the warmth of my hands on top of yours
The breathless exchange as we lock all the doors
The taste of our bodies as we lay on the floor
With skin touching skin as we’re aching for more
Remember the whispers that died in the dark
The ashes that remained of our heavenly spark
We cling to old memories like a prized work of art
Even Mona Lisa envies what’s hiding in our hearts
Remember the day that I finally set you free
The day our hearts were swept out to the sea
When cruel fate decided we could no longer be
Just remember our love.. always remember me.
