Remember Me
I think I can write a rhyme,
I’ll take a stab at it from time to time,
I write in the present, future and past tense,
In some kind of form that makes sense.
I want some words that are easy come easy go,
They lay down right and start to flow,
It won’t take long for you to tell,
If this poem is going well.
Up and down, back and forth,
Enjoy the ride for what it’s worth,
For I hope you have become smitten,
With these words that I have written.
Maybe before you decide to go,
You will feel this rhyme and its tempo,
And if you like what you see,
Maybe, just maybe, you will remember me.
