Remember Her

Remember Her in all of Her inspirational glory
And all of those who have died to create Her story
Remember Her whole entire turbulent past
Seeing how even the best of intentions could not last

Remember Her in all of Her rebellious fighting spirit
And how the whole world would come to endear it
Remember the early days as She was so benevolantly founded
And how in such a profound faith She was so deeply grounded

Remember everything about Her
In seeing how things once were
For She has been forced off Her beaten path
As She stands in line so humbly accepting of God's wrath

She simply wants you to think of Her by Her past
For Her present condition is in such stark contrast
Her beauty gone and Her spirit so defeated
Just remember Her past once Her time is completed
