Remember

I trust you'll remember
All the special times, that we had.
Joy, smiles, even moments of sorrow.
Indeed, and if you remember
I couldn’t help but be glad.
For even in death,
I could live on tomorrow.

All those silly adventures,
Those lessons I gave you.
Special parts that marked my time.
No-one lives on forever,
Only hope, we were valued
Anymore would be divine.

Laugh and cherish the memories
Preserve, the delight in your heart.
Relax, and encourage my mention.
We will all become history
Be blessed with, what once was a start,
We live for eternity when there’s retention.

I just trust you'll remember
All the special times, that we had.
Joy, smiles, even moments of sorrow.
Hey, and if you remember
I couldn’t help but be glad.
For even in death,
I will live on tomorrow.

Beautiful poem, Mark. What a lovely idea that you may ask for this poem to be read at your funeral (no rush). That is a beautiful present to leave behind. Not enough people thin of that.

Definitely no hurry. : ) I suppose it's also a reminder that we need to live a life that fosters fond memories that will be cherished beyond our time here. Happy birthday for the other day.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. David Harkins

Life goes on and as long as we remember, the deceased will be with us forever. Good to see you back at the soup S1.

You can shed tears that she is gone Or you can smile because she has lived You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her Or you can be full of the love that you shared You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday You can remember her and only that she is gone Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

Thank you Heidi. 46 is/was way too young and I suppose it makes you think.
