Remember
Remember
The whistle sounded
For us to go
And we climbed over the hill
I heard the sound of gunfire
And all the world stood still
I turned and saw my comrades fall
Causing panick in the mud
I ran toward the nearest trench
And fell down with a thud
Looking round at all the men
There eyes so full of fear
Hands a shaking bodies cold
But non would shed a tear
Remember, one voice shouted loud
We all looked round to see
One day he said this war will end
And people will be free
