Remember

Remember that day like it was today
How could I forget?
Remember that phone call like the last I’ve received
One I wasn’t expecting to get
Remember that feeling because it hurts so badly
No pain I had ever felt
Remember the pats on the back and life lectures
But still none of it helped

Time to Time I think to myself
Why you and was it fair
And I swear I miss that nigga
Even more because he aint here
Its said god works in mysterious ways
But still there’s no explanation
Why my friends not here
Its just not clear
But as simple as it is to forget
You will forever remain in my heart
