Remains of the Day

When the Light has gone out
Where do we find the switch?
Faith has turned to distrust
How do we find it again?
What matters, no longer caring
Can the shadows turn to dust?
Will there ever be peace?
Does quiet and calmness even exist?
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness
Sounds so mythical and foreign
Search for the truth, it’s been there all along
Cloudy days in the forecast no longer
Eternal weather: bright and sunny, filled with joy
