Remains From the Past

My dear Sir
Do you remember?
The two mile walk by the river
When it was full with glitter?

The trickling sound of the stream
The lark that sounded like it’s about to scream
The sun that was proud of its beam
The air that was moving like a dream

As if no gray was presence
Except for our hearts that bled in silence
Knowing that us was never
And would never, there

Still the feeling was real
Still it was love we feel
Though our path will never meet
Though a life together is something we’ll never greet

Let this be a memory kept in secret
A portrait made of colourful palette
In the heart that will never forget
A feeling that will never be a regret
