Releasing You
Every time a teardrop falls a memory escapes my mind, a thought that I have held prisoner, for all this time
It’s time to let it go, there is no need for it to me, only a never-ending reminder of the person I used to be
A sweet and innocent girl one so trusting, so true, that cast her innocence to the wind when she fell in love with you
She chose to sin to let seduction lead her astray, to fall into the arms of a lover who already had a mate
For years she has lived in the past surviving off what once was, and now her body is shutting down telling her it is enough
That she must release the pain, the hurt, the lies, the promises once made, she must cry you out of her system this is the only way
She must cry until there is nothing left to feel, and once she is all cried out only then can she heal
These tears are every ounce of love she ever had for you, and her body and heart are releasing the pain, she is releasing you.
