Shedding the chains In my mind, anile regrets reside. A haunting reminder of mistakes I cannot hide. Self-doubts and hurts cling to my soul. As heavy chains, dragging me down and taking their toll. But today I declare, no longer will I be bound, The weight of these memories keeps me tied down. I gather the strength to face my past mistakes. To release the pain and let my spirit awake. No longer will I let yore regrets define me. No longer will I let self-doubt confine me? I rise above the anger, the harm, and the pain. Embracing a chapter where freedom will reign I will not let the past control my destiny. I will break free from its grip and set myself free. I will no longer dwell on what could have been. Instead, I'll focus on what lies within. I am capable, I am worthy, I am enough, No longer defined by past regrets and stuff. I release the pain, the anger, the strife, And step into a life of joy, freedom, and life. I am shedding the chains that once held me down. No longer a prisoner, I wear a recent crown. With every breath I bear, I reclaim my power. No longer allowing past regrets to devour.

Psalm 51 v 3 states: I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. But my mentor always insists that having repented and atoned for my sins, I must completely forget about them. It's the future that counts. We must make the right choices. Great meditative poem.

Oh Well Done My Friend. This is a fave for me. We must take control of our own destiny and not be a slave to the past. The future is ours to savor and enjoy. Bravo. God Bless, JB
