Release
I let the sand run
Through my fingers
Out of my hands
Like a sift
However quick
The sands may shift
Whatever distance
I may drift
My heart
Forever entwined
When I face
The sands of time!
I frame my thoughts
And release it slow
The gentle breeze knits air
Waving it around
My pockets are full
Which sands have found
My ears picking up
Lapping waves a gentle sound
I feel free a light bounce
In no way bound
A rucksack of memories
I leave behind
I drift out
with nothing on my mind!
