Relaxing

Reckon it’s time to get out that dusty gitfiddle, and maybe relax just a little, Strum up and old song, And sing along. Been a year since I did, What I learned as a kid. It does help me relax,. When my mind is taxed. Sometimes just a three chord melody, Is enough to set my spirit free. Let’s see…what song shall I sing…. . Crap! I broke a dang string!

I'd love to hear you strum that fiddle, Rob, and it would be nice to learn even three chords. Your poem has a gentle melody to it that is very appealing. Nice to know you served in the Navy. My brother and uncle served there too and my great great grandfather was a sea captain in the Civil War. When I really need to relax, I sew or call long-distance friends. I'll miss the Soup while I'm away, but I do need a vacation. Love and blessings, Caroyn

Awesomely cute, Robert. I practiced guitar just basic chords for several years back in the 1990's until I finally realized I was not getting anywhere with it. I had started way too old in life to really catch on to it, but I can kind of play and I love it!
