Rejoice When You Wake In the Morn

Every moment gone faster than the one before a second you could have written a sentence in your play, called a friend, and uplifted them. Petted a puppy, who would be forever grateful. Every second gone spinning away, without giving you joy. A second you could have cleaned one pile, watered the birds, been nice to someone. Do not lament that today is over, and you did not grab her in your arms and make love to her. There is tomorrow……………………………………………….maybe. Maybe not. Rejoice when you wake in the morn and you get another chance. Take your new moments and write the play, call the friend, pet the puppy. Laugh and shout and dance and sing. Whirl and twirl. It is not too late! Seize the day! Play your guitar. Lunch with a friend. Eat a piece of hot pie. Get in there and make a list right now of what you will do in the morning. Start planning a trip to Europe, Alaska, Africa, Egypt, Scotland, wherever…. Now remember to look in the mirror and be nice to yourself. Say something sweet. Laugh at your reflection. Your brain is listening, and she will believe what she hears. It is difficult to live a fully wonderful day without being lovely to yourself.

I had two helpings of key lime pie yesterday. And I will be looking in the mirror again today even though my hair is standing on end.

Thank you Heidi. I had fun creating it, and editing it too.
