Regrets
As she tiptoed through the thoughts,
Scattered across her mind,
She tentatively stepped on,
Afraid of the horrors she might find.
She doubted her emotions,
She refused to trust her heart,
They had led her astray before,
Then tore her world apart.
She chose to forgive herself,
She lay her ghosts to rest,
Her past now behind her,
The pain eased in her chest.
One day at a time,
She knew she'd have to take,
To a brand-new future,
She has new memories to make.
