Regrets
Driving down the highway to my hometown
To bury my nephew who died so young
Tears are welling in my eyes
As my throat chokes on my tongue
Family will travel in from miles away
To blow one last farewell kiss
And the several hundred freinds who came
Just showed how greatly he was missed
His young life ravaged by killer cancer
Yet never once did the boy complain
Til finally he peacefully passed away
To end all his suffering and pain
I will speak the truth about my tears
This sad tale i must tell
Because of family squabbles
I regret I never really knew him well.
