Regret

In shadows deep, where sorrows dwell, A whispering voice, regret's cruel spell. It haunts the heart with echoes grim, A haunting melody, a mournful hymn. Regret, the weight of choices past, Leaves scars upon our souls so vast. The road not taken, chances missed, Aching reminders, clenched in fists. Oh, wistful heart, burdened with pain, Longing to rewind and start again. For time's unyielding, relentless sway, Leads us down paths we cannot change. Through tear-filled nights, we seek release, From memories that refuse to cease. But lessons learned, they slowly seep, From depths of darkness, we shall reap. Let regret be a teacher, wise and keen, Guiding us to live a life serene. For in its grasp, we find the strength, To shape our future, free at length. Embrace each moment, seize the day, Let not regret obscure the way. For in acceptance, true peace is found, And from the ashes, new joys abound.
