I gave to her my heart, but not for a day It was given freely for all of eternity Alas, she refused, throwing it back at me Leaving me with nothing ever to say My heart bled there in her open palms Beating incessantly, but to no avail My lips echoed the pain with a wail a cry that would not serve to calm
