Refrigerated

Refrigerated white clad knight A thousand horses pull With their might, prancing 'pon the road Cargo hull loaded full Up and down the expressway roam See vehicles and roads Rarely getting to visit wife And place of home's abode Same billboards everyday stored in Memory~packed away Loners tucked in but need escape Complex puzzle at play Inspired by a tractor/trailer truck on the expressway.....

I like your inspiration for this piece; it's neat the little or insignificant things that inspire us poets. And I love your use of " 'pon"; I saw it in several of your pieces and, as my name implies, I am a lover and sucker of archaic phrases, words or wording. Nice job with this piece :)

Hi Sara, I must say you managed to capture my interest right from the title. It's clever how you've used the word refrigerated then gone on to talk about sameness -it's just like a freezing time, things remain the same. Very well penned!
