Reflections of the present

11 December 2023 1:15 pm

Stareing at the mirror I see an ageing man
He looks a bit tired and hard to understand

Many years behind him, maybe many years ahead
I see him from conception until at last he's dead

The mirror is times crossroad where the past and future meet
in the eyes of the beholder certain and bitter sweet

Our bodies have a begining a present and an end
But all souls are eternal begining present but no end

We begin in the heart of God our present here on earth
Living, learning, trying, failing, succeeding living this life in a lurch

Then one day we die and move on to heaven or to hell
Stare into that mirror and think deep and well

Do you know Jesus? Does He know you?
His house is always open but only to those who do.

Your life matters, you matter, everything you do and say
Go to your mirror and see your begining and present today

This world is but a moment in an eternity of time
