Reflections In a Window

I’ve been holding onto windows
Losing reasons for
Existing as a shadow
The soul that walks through doors

Possessed by ghosts of fallen
I need to find a cure
I’m losing what’s forgotten
What’s pure will be my loss

Desperation searches reason
In this I know it’s gone
Nothing left but my own treason
The pain that held on for far too long

If I was real I would awake now
But something holds me in my mind
Fear has paralysed me somehow
Even when I know I’ll only find

The soul that I’ve been searching
My reflection will evade
I end up running ‘til I’m hurting
I have felt nothing here for days
