Reflections From the Head of the Pack

The Athens to Atlanta Marathon is quite a race... You have wheels on your feet and bugs in your face. 85 miles of misery and pain... But a victory over self is what you hope to gain. There were hundreds of people who started the race that day... But 85 miles by wheels on your feet is a very long way. A 27 year old woman won the race for women that day... And she proved that being committed to your goal in the end will pay. With God in the lead and Jesus by her side... She topped each hill and then she would glide. There are many at the beginning but only a few at the end... And it takes many months of training to get the win. So you write your goal and set your sight.. And you go for the finish line with all your might. In the fall of '92 Tulsa Tammy won the women's race... And now in race history she has her place. Roller blade racing is not easy you know... And 85 miles is a long way to go. TK<><
