Reflections

Who is that person
   I ask as I stare,
   the one with streaks of gray
   in her long dark hair.

   Why is her face so sullen;
   deep dark circles under her eyes,
   She says absolutely nothing,
   but somehow you hear her tormented cries.

   She looks almost lifeless;
   no expression on her face,
   no sign of life;
   not even a trace.

   A deep sorrow fills my heart;
   when I look closer and see,
   I am gazing into a mirror;
   that person is me.
