Reflection
I look into the mirror I reflect on what was asked
I need to look inside myself as I ponder on my past
Husband, father, brother, son. All roles that I have played
Suffered loss, and had joyful times, memories which will not fade.
I look into the mirror my reflection stares back at me
I look into those mirrored eyes I observe my mortality
Age has crept upon me like a hunter stalking prey
I lived a long good life, a statement I'm proud to say
I look in to the mirror I gaze upon my soul
Mistakes were made along the way, I fell into a hole
I raised a loving family I had a loving wife
I wish they were beside me now, at the summit of my life
I look into the mirror I see who stares at me
An aged old man lived a long long life feels like eternity.
Husband, brother, father, son. now the time has come to go.
As I look in to the mirror the time it seems to slow
I look out of the mirror I see my shell upon the floor.
I know my time had come. I saw the light through the open door.
I hear the voices of my friends, and family who passed
Once again I am husband, father, brother, son. Back together at long, long last x
