Refexions On a Window

Timed stopped, when we met
From that moment, we had no regret.
It was a love like no other,
The love I had, did smother.
Was I blinded? I couldn’t see
What was in front of me.
All the work, you went away to do,
Left me down n feeling blue.
Were you working?
Or were you playing?
Sounds like,
You were betraying.
Staring out the window
Raindrops run down,
Reflections of our love
Getting me down.
Stare at the first star
When I’m not around
They were the words
You spoke,
They were profound.
Pregnant we fell
Time wasn’t right.
We let god take them
Into his light.
Leaving me, you did.
Leaving me shattered,
Reflections, on the window
Leaves me, feeling scattered.
You found me, to tell me,
Another life you had,
Reflections on the window
We’re nothing but bad.
Knowing now, you were
Part of my journey,
Glad we weren’t married,
I would have, found an attorney.

Better out than in and soup is the place to make the window clean again. Great but sad poetry. You have talent. Regards David in NZ
