Redeem

I didn't see you like some curse had come between
and even from not seeing you before I had some dream
that you were in my daily thought, as God had ruled the scene
and where before no symbol taught could merit its extreme.

I saw you not, but feeling almost empty to redeem
a tired bequest in Thee still caught my lips as if to glean
the where of seeing was not sought before could not have been
from seeing you, grew fondness' drought, redemption was the mean!
