Red Parasol

Peace and quiet and dignity.

Bring me peace, tranquillity
With seagulls skimming silent sea
Lapping waves that softly flap
I will have a piece of that

Not for me the noise of town
But rocks of grey and sand of brown
Soft breeze that blows through petticoat
And pushes gently sail boat

To sit and speak and laugh away
I will take this any day
It will be time to go home soon
Back to the drudginous and gloom

Of City life.

Thank you, as a greenhorn of many tens of thousands of talented people, it is nice to even get a mention, even nicer to hit the joint top four in a fun contest. xxxx
