Recycled Summer

Florida recycles Summer heat, a slower version of a hot beat; Fall’s still smoking; Leaves crack and dull to brown skipping the colors of Autumn; Southern sky’s daunting; September’s a soft shadow with hollowed flames to follow; Serotonin’s falling; Freckled skin still a bit warm, season has no time to transform; Sunburn’s resurfacing.
