Recovering Me

I guess there is no more hurt in me. i moved on. this is the new me. i can't look at man the same. thank you for this good change. im where i need to be. only me had the strength to recover me. yes i walk alone. im happy cause the pain is gone. there is a new beginning. all that was the past is now the ending. im where i need to be. only me had the strength to recover me. no more tears falling. no more lies. me i made change. i now realize. no one walk beside me. alone is just me. im where i need to be. only me had the strength to recover me.

Riveting self-analysis. They say no (wo)man is an island... I'm not sure. There were times in my life where I felt just the way you describe. Scrupulously honest. Best wishes, Keith

I like the way the title and the theme are both integrated and how they flow through the poem. This is truly uplifting and inspirational. The power is really in the person seeking saving grace. The need is to use it positively. Great job! ~Joseph

You go girl! I loved this, so positive and inspiring, this was a great write, I'm so glad you have figured out how to be you, just yourself, without any help from anyone. :) ~Michaela~

Right on, Michelle!! Each day is a new beginning for us all ... in fact sometimes we can start our day over whenever we need to ... and then sometimes when we "recover" we just put the dirt on us twice sooooo, here at PoetrySoup you can know that you are not alone ... smile ... this is a wonderful write that obviously has me thinking ... LOL ...
