Recollecting You

Now I do reminisce
but not without pain,
there are times I recall
with some tears to restrain.

Reflecting on years
and the ones no doubt lost,
realities turn
my emotional cost!

Carry on best I can
such a wound never heals,
the façade as presented
and the hurt it conceals.
