Reckless

Our love is reckless…
Like a car that drives too fast
What a thrill to speed behind the wheel
But this too, shall pass.

And where will that leave us
On the edge of all we knew
I’ve bared my soul, I’ve stripped it down
What the hell else can I do?

I can’t hold you any longer…
I can’t look into your eyes and lie again.
And this pain is getting stronger
My swollen heart just won’t pretend

Unbearable silence
When you look into my eyes
You feel so cold, but still you hold
Onto all our sad goodbyes…
