Rebel Writer

Oh how I love your expression
But how I hate your rule
Every time I think I've got it
You make me feel a fool

Creation shouldn't have these rules
Or any guidelines that we follow 
Creation should just be natural
These rules can make me wallow 

I understand why they are there
They make our craft more neat
But still creation should be natural
Because these guidelines have me beat 

Why can't I just write my lines
And just let my feelings pour
Without any scrutiny 
Just let my soul on paper soar

I've just got to be in the right mindset to write, I hate to say it, but most of my writings stem from anger, sadness, or frustration. Then and only then can I truly let real poetry come out.
