Rebel Pride

Here lies a rebel soldier
He stood and fought with pride
And when the war was ended
This poor, brave soul had died

He fought to free his children
He fought for southern rights
One day a bullet found him
He died that dreary night

He died defending Dixie
His wife and children cried
They buried him in Rebel ground
His rifle by his side

Now many try to cover up
These men who fought and died
Defending what they believed upon
Our sons of Rebel pride

I think it is weird when people try to not admit, claim, or acknowledge things that happened.
