Reassurance
I drift away,
yet you are still
by my side,
aching for my
love,
if only in spirit-
I sift away,
yet you remain
loyal and tender
as if I was
your gentle doe.
For I never knew starvation until you
satisfied my appetite-
you never knew thirst until I quenched
with desire.
I know that our devotion can overcome
any fallacy we may encounter,
as I ache for your skin just to touch mine.
Need me as I need you,
see me as I see you.
Feed me as I feed you,
be with me...tonight.
Now I lay with chills rushing down my spine,
for you are my holy grail-
my lost has been found and I am
enraptured by your essence.
I need reassurance...
you stay with such ease.
