Reasons To Be Poetic

There are so many reasons to be poetic.
With our poems we try to be prophetic, 
We tap into our greatest fantasies, 
and learn that they are a wonderful tease. 

We know that the best things don't last, 
and tell the world about our memorable past.
We use our words to correspond, 
and with all of you, I feel a certain bond. 

Tell me about your dreams to the stars, 
and tell me about what I can't see, like your scars.
I want to know whats inside of you that makes you tick, 
or if the person I am talking to is a beautiful chick.

I want to hear about your friends and foes, 
or about the people or issues you oppose. 
Tell me about the person who let you down, 
or when you were on top wearing a crown.

Can you make me feel something you did, 
or your secret affair and your id.
Say it any way you want, just so we can read, 
you will be amazed about how much you've been freed.
