Reasons

I became a poet Not for the glory, But to help others like me, Ones with sad stories. I write because I feel A compulsion to help, To help other people, And to help myself. I write to empty my brain Of all the things that hurt me. That make me feel terrible. That make me feel empty. When I pick up my pen, All I can think to write is sadness. But, instead, I write motivation For others falling into madness. So I keep writing, Hoping I will inspire someone. But there is still the fun in writing, Even if I inspire no one. But, my poems are never good enough, There’s always more I can do. That’s why I will never stop writing. Because I always improve. Thank you to all who have helped me To get to the place I am at. In truth, you all are my inspiration. I have no doubts about that. Thank you... Silent One Sunshine Smile Kyle Kriticos Faraz Ajmal Emile Pinet Eve Roper Katie Lindsey Maureen McGreavy And you! Sorry if this is a little scattered in thoughts, it's a problem, but it's how I write. But, I hope you like it. -Sincerely, Connor Lotts
