Realization

When I awaken this morning, I had a realization.
Not one of everyday where I take things for granted.
This morning was different.
I heard the birds singing as I looked out the window.
Watching the water in the brook flowing silently against the stones,
a turtle came from the mud after laying its tinly, little eggs.
A deer cautiously approaced the stream, sniffing the air for danger.
A child played in the wind flying his kite.
The music of nature emitted a mellow tune to the sounds of rustling
leaves,
as rain began to fall.
Ah such sweet things, those things of everyday that I do take for granted.
Yes this morning was different, Now as age catches up with me,
I take nothing for granted.
Not even the breath of life that allows m,e to experience these things.
