Reality-Hunt

See, something is going on with me.
I'm still trying my hardest to figure out what it could be.
It's been so long since I was able to see
I've become blind to the realness of reality.

You loved me, or so you said.
Fantasies of what love could be filled my head.
I asked God if it could be true before I went to bed.
Proved to be dead, the dream of an actual love turned up dead.

Thought that I could do it all.
Beat down by the "perfect life" call.
Wanted to rule everything, and I was once on the ball,
But sadly, it's not a fact, and on my belly I now crawl.

To the curb of life, I constantly was kicked.
It was simply too much to see, so I got sick
With the sights of how low the light came from the lit wick
Of the vision I should seek. Hit me harder than a brick.

Living a life in the land of dreams, it just cannot be so.
Stepped out there, and broke a couple of toes.
Not one to just sit back on the row.
Getting out there to seek reality some mo'.

If, at any point, you are looking crazy at me,
I have come to know that you have failed to see.
I'm no longer flying in the islands of fantasy.
Now, I am a bounty hunter,
searching for that which we call reality.
