Reality To Dream

1 Dec 2018 4:17 PM

A man could walk a thousand miles and never see a thing
Then lay down his head to rest and see the world in a dream

Why does the dream seem real and the world seem fake
As we look onward toward death and leave life in our wake

The dream is deep inside and a part of us
Reality is outside blowing by in a gust

The dream is personal our emotions put to sight
We sort out ourselves as we sleep through the night

Some dreams are good and sweet melodies
And some are wicked obscenities

But all serve purpose to help us heal
By seeing what we really feel

Reality is the life we live
While dreams are the life we give
