Reality

What if our whole world was scripted?
What if our captivity was disguised as freedom?
What if what we were taught
was taught to us for a reason?
But not the reason we thought?

Not at all what we had in mind
What if the reason was
To imprison our outlook and our sight?
What if the reason was
To imprison our minds?

What if the life we live was not meant to be?
What if the reason was to hold us captive?
Like a powerful beast tethered to a tree?
Like a mime in a box that we can’t see?

Who holds the knife?
Who holds our key?
To freedom and a happy prosperous life?
Is it us?
Or is it the flow of society?
