Real Normality

Tis’ was a frightful night, For all set sail on the ship Delight. All men both heavy and frail Took pleasure as the only detail. Tis’ was a frightful night, For all set sail on the ship Delight. For they’ve not known the storm to be, The clouds mighty, and strong the sea. For all the sun’s light was swallowed up, The overcast sky made a dreary night, For all set sail on the ship Delight. They take pleasure in gold and drinks, They lay upon the table their feet, They dress themselves in great luxury, For pleasure is all they seek. Tis’ was a frightful night, For all set sail on the ship Delight. The rain poured down on their silky hair And their cherished leather chairs. Thunder clapped above the ocean, A distraction from their decadent commotion. Tis’ was a frightful night For all set sail on the ship Delight. For what men had gained Was easily tossed into the waves. The ship rocked back and forth, And the ship’s ingeretity crumbled more and more. People tossed about like dolls, When just before they had no worries at all. All is WRONG on ship Delight, A ship that was meant to sail through the night, A ship with no sorrows or cries, Will turn into the ship of screams and fright. Tis’ was a frightful night, For all set sail on the ship Delight! The beloved ship began to sink And many levels succumbed to leaks. All those beg the storm for mercy, For all valued pleasure, firstly. The storm answered and made declaration: “Such is the human condition.” Tis’ was a frightful night, For all set sail on the ship Delight. The ship has now gone down, Along with all on board who drowned. All earthly pleasures were lost, And all the silver, Jewls, and drinks at great cost. None of their comforts were free, They should’ve cherished their unusual tranquility. Tis’ was a frightful night, For all set sail on the ship Delight.
