Real Friendships

"Real Friendships"

Real friendships are ones that grow throughout the years
They don’t often start with all kinds of emotions
But throughout time, transcend many fears

They accept and love you just for who you are
They don’t focus on your failures
But lovingly encourage you to reach for the stars

Real Friends are hard to find and harder to lose
They are faithful and kind
And they will walk a hundred miles in your shoes

They handle your heart gently and wisely with care
Even when they know you’re in the wrong
They know just what needs to be shared

They see their own issues, as you tell of your own
As you share with them your heart
They encourage you to see where you have grown

They are there through the thick and through the thin
You will find their heart faithful forever
And their love rooted deeply within

Now Real Friends are not perfect by near or by far
But as you encounter each hardship
Watch as they still love you right where you are

If you have found just one Real Friend
Don’t ever take them for granted
For you have found a shining gem!
