Ready Writers

Let the pens of the ready writers proceed*                                                                                                   Let their words be read and their voices heard

So untie the hands of the poet                                                                                                                                    For therewith, the world is touched

For therewith, far-flung words of peace                                                                                                                         and goodwill are launched for all to hear

For therewith, imprisoned ones are released                                                                                                          from their cells of apathy and indifference

For therewith, walls of separation will fall, and                                                                                                              bridges of connectivity and unity will be built

So come on at once with haste, without time                                                                                                                 to waste, without hesitation or equivocation.

So come on courageously, all over this land and                                                                                                          around the world, untie the hands of the poets.
