Read Between the Lines

You’re reading through the book But if you read between the lines You’d know how I’d work. Beaten, pushed and shoved to the ground, and yet still I stand, But now I’m considering why I should conform to your twisted lies. Bent into shape, but still not holding a place, Falling behind, slipping through the cracks. Nobody knows why, but if you read between the lines, you’d understand why.
