Reaching the Door

How do I love you? With all my
heart.
I live with your put down, and
your anger.
Knowing the door is open, to
leave, I try, but by the time I reach
it, it closes again.
Listening to your promises,
I believe, but then you forget you
even made them.
How do you hurt me? With your
words, your words cut me, just like
a knife.
One day the door will open again,
but the next time I will walk through.
Will you be sad, maybe, maybe not.
It's hard to tell, because your
feelings, you hide them well.
I will always miss you though,
in some way, because I did love you,
and probably always will.
