Reaching For the Stars

The skies and heavens hear not or feel not your gentle wings, The mind may not forget your senses. Feeling bliss, or parts or you that experience the gratification that one feels, Giving all of yourself for the millions of us. The inspiration that is felt by such an selfless act and the honor you have given even with your life. The countless young women who look up to that baby blue sky and see a leader who flys for her children, her husband, her parents, without a doubt her Grampy and her sisters and brothers. The stratosphere was obliterated by your pursuit, With numerous thrust clouds streaming across the evening sky. The pavement ever-sensing the giant steps you have shown all your sisters and mothers. And fight is not an easy one to muster, On timelines and strategy briefs and debriefs and the edge of the life’s razor, It could have only been YOU. The one that fights, That stares down death and still is able to veer to the right and throttle past the every-changing hourglass. And no one can take away your wings, no one could measure up to all the feats that make YOU so special. So look to the sky when things are running in circles, And the corners of your mind will seek the sweet honey rich with tales of the brave and the bold, And know the elite persona is the exactly the person your looking at in the mirror, You will face that image and surge with an overwhelming shiver that “I am all I need to be,” And “I don’t need to prove anything to anyone that knows even of the minute ounces of my accomplishments,” Because That is just who you are and that is all you ever need to be, is YOU!!
