Rays Upon Their Tearful Eyes

Those who kept watch
Those at their toil
The people lanquished
A smell of spoil
So so alone, no end in sight
No joy to muster
Consumed by strife
Then light pierced the blackened skies
Soft rays upon their tearful eyes
One found courage, prayed aloud
Then another, then a crowd
Soon all realized
This was the key
Unleashed great power
Now they could see..
Heaven is waiting just for me
